The Ev Man

Installing EV Chargers is more to us than just a job; we feel that we are contributing to a more sustainable future; travelling all over Melbourne I get to see a lot of different areas, and I enjoy getting to know Melbourne's unique neighbourhoods.
Installing EV Chargers is more to us than just a job; we feel that we are contributing to a more sustainable future; travelling all over Melbourne I get to see a lot of different areas, and I enjoy getting to know Melbourne's unique neighbourhoods. Fitzroy, including Fitzroy North, is one of my favourites! This charming inner suburb, just northeast of Melbourne's CBD, is surrounded by East Melbourne, Carlton, Brunswick, Clifton Hill, and Collingwood.
Fitzroy was established in 1839 as Melbourne's very first suburb. Over the years, it has transformed from an industrial, working-class neighbourhood into a trendy and desirable area filled with apartment buildings, shopping, and dining options. Fitzroy also boasts stunning Victorian-era architecture, like the Fitzroy Town Hall on Napier Street, which dates back to 1873.
One of the things I love about Fitzroy is how close it is to Melbourne's CBD and the great public transport facilities available. This makes it an ideal location for both residents and visitors.
Fitzroy and Fitzroy North have five unique shopping precincts, all easily accessible by tram lines. Brunswick Street has an eclectic mix of retail outlets, restaurants, and bars. Smith Street, Melbourne's first suburban shopping strip, offers various eateries, bars, second-hand shops, and factory outlets. On Gertrude Street, you'll come across traditional pubs, restaurants, boutiques, and galleries. Queens Parade in Fitzroy North has a delightful village atmosphere with specialty shops and cafes. St Georges Road is another local favourite, offering a series of shopping strips with diverse restaurants and retailers.
Fitzroy is also known for its lively pub scene and cozy traditional hotels nestled in residential areas, giving you that perfect village feel. The suburb is a haven for art lovers, with galleries, studios, and a thriving street art community, featuring large-scale murals on building walls. You can even join tours to explore the most notable artworks.
Edinburgh Gardens in Fitzroy North is a must-visit if you're a fan of green spaces. With 24 hectares of tree-lined pathways, lawns, and sporting facilities, it's a great place to unwind. Other parklands are located along Merri Creek, Alexandra Parade, and the former inner circle railway site.
Fitzroy is an eco-friendly suburb, offering several shared walking and bicycle trails like the Capital City Trail and Merri Creek Trail. Dedicated on-road bicycle lanes cater to the high cycle traffic, making it a sustainable choice for commuters.
We love working with the locals of Fitzroy and making the most out of their Electric Vehicles.
